I’ve decided I want to look like a goddess. I am going on holiday to Spain in four weeks and I’ve had more than enough of putting up with, and lugging around, four extra kilos that have somehow attached themselves to my body. In particular, my ass.
The heaviest I have been in the past three years, I feel out of control and downright horrid, so it ends. Right here. Right now. So I’m starting my online exercise diary, and I will post everyday that I train. From previous experience, I know this will help with motivation over the next month, and set me on my way for a summer full of cavorting on the beach, looking AMAZING at festivals and generally feeling absolutely fucking fabulous!
My goals are clear: to train solidly for six days a week over the next four weeks and end up looking like a goddess. My diet will also be relatively strict, minus excessive intakes of carbohydrates and sugar. Training for me is not such a huge challenge, it’s the diet aspect of it all, especially because it’s winter and the cold and miserable weather makes me want to stay home and eat. 90% of the time not because I’m hungry but because it’s so goddamn cold. I actually really enjoy going to the gym, possibly due to the exorbitant amount of energy I have, and also because it’s my outlet for venting.
We idiolise celebrities and models, wishing we had their physiques, lifestyles and money. But they work hard, and having a goddess-like body doesn’t come easily. Sure they may have a lot more time on their hands than you’re average 9-5 worker, which is most of us, but it is their job to look good and be in shape, for their work and income depends on it. So keeping that in mind, I am going to adapt that mentality from now on. If Beyonce could lose 20 pounds for her role in Dream Girls, then I’m sure I can lose five kilos in four weeks
I counted the first day of my mission as yesterday, and I trained twice- morning and night. In the morning I did 1/2 hour of weights, and did some interval training for 40 mins on the treadmill. I recorded my workout with my Nike+iPod sensor, which is able of calculating the distance I have ran/walked, as well as calories burned. Usually I set myself the goal of doing 5kms in 30 minutes, but this is another post. Anyway, yesterday evening I was a little fatigued after work, but managed to do a 45 min spin class and 20 minutes of weights. I usually work on legs.
My goal for Tuesday, July 29 is to do a 45 min spin class, 20 minute jog on the treadmill and a pump class (1hr).
